OpenSubtitles
SINK uses OpenSubtitles to fetch subtitle files for audio synchronization. Subtitles are used internally for alignment purposes only and are not redistributed or displayed as raw text.
Important: SINK does not play or redistribute video or subtitles. Subtitles are fetched temporarily for sync alignment and are not stored long-term.

License: OpenSubtitles content is provided under their terms of service. We comply with all usage restrictions.
ACRCloud / Audio Fingerprinting
SINK uses audio fingerprinting technology (ACRCloud, Chromaprint, and ShazamKit) to identify content and synchronize comments. Audio fingerprints are short digital signatures derived from audio samples.
Important: We only store audio fingerprints, not raw audio recordings. Fingerprints cannot be used to reconstruct original audio.

Content Usage
SINK does not host, play, or redistribute any video or audio content.
Users watch content on their own streaming services (Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, etc.). SINK only provides a synchronized comment layer that overlays on top of the user's viewing experience.
We do not bypass DRM or interfere with streaming service functionality. Our Chrome extension and mobile apps are designed to work alongside streaming services, not replace them.
